About
Effective treatment is more than reducing behaviorâitâs about teaching meaningful alternatives. This course provides advanced guidance for designing, teaching, and maintaining replacement behaviors that serve the same function as problem behavior. Participants will explore how to align functional assessments with skill-building programs and ensure replacement behaviors are socially valid, generalizable, and sustainable. Learning Objectives 1. Identify the functional relationship between problem behavior and potential replacement behaviors. 2. Design replacement behavior programs that are contextually appropriate and functionally equivalent. 3. Monitor and adjust teaching plans to ensure generalization and long-term maintenance of replacement behaviors.
